Biography
Dr. Kasi received his cardiology training at Emory University in Atlanta, GA and graduated in 2007. After completing cardiology fellowship, he trained in interventional cardiology at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, MI. Dr. Kasi is actively involved in molecular cardiac research and received his PhD in 1998 from the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC where he studied cardiac myocyte cell proliferation and myocardial signal transduction in heart failure. During cardiology fellowship at Emory, Dr. Kasi conducted NIH funded research on cardiac stem cell therapy. In addition to all aspects of interventional cardiology including coronary balloon angioplasty, stenting, rotoblator and atherectomy, his special interests include diagnosis and interventional treatment of peripheral vascular disease including the use of balloon angioplasty, atherectomy devices, excimer laser, and stent deployment.
