Biography
Dr. Gunasekera grew up in Central Florida and attended Cornell University for his undergraduate degree. He studied medicine at Albany Medical College in New York. Dr. Gunasekera returned to Central Florida to train in Internal Medicine at the Orlando Regional Healthcare System in Orlando, FL where he also served as Chief Resident. His cardiology training was at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Gunasekera is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Nuclear Cardiology. His areas of interest include echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and diagnostic catheterization.
